About Me

My name is Brighton. I write about sky pirates and girls who lie. I’m an AMM Round 6 mentee, Pitch Wars mentee, MG + YA fantasy writer, and house plant enthusiast.

I’ve had a couple short stories win awards. When I’m not writing, I’m doodling in the margins of my notes and picking away on my piano. Other skills include origami (I can make a parakeet in under 30 seconds), cooking brunch (I can make gourmet French toast in under 30 minutes), and not growing very tall (I can reach 5’2″ in under 30 years).

I live in a tiny apartment in a big city. You’re most likely to find me at a cheap sushi place or at a used bookstore, stretching to reach the top shelf.

Bits & bobs about me:

  • I can name all the US presidents in order. My life dream is to be in an instance where this wins me money and/or makes me look cool around pretty girls.
  • I served as Editor-in-Chief for my college newspaper where I covered everything from Wonder Woman to what it’s like being multiracial in the United States.
  • I eat like three bananas a day. I am, at any given moment, at least 20% banana.
